We took our 3 ys old labrador into Zurich in October. Once you have right crate, rabies vaccine paperwork and accompanying USDA cert, EU readable microchip, you are set. We flew from JFK with Swiss and paid just $200 for dog (excess baggage). Whole process was very smooth.
