If yu compare to London then yes Switzerland appears cheaper. Kind of strange that most people's first reaction when I told them I was moving to Switzerland, was isn't it very expensive out there.

Actually the way it is now. In London we needed two salaries to make ends meet (never actually getting anywhere near the insane housing market). Here just the one salary is required to keep us in a better state of living overall.
