My Swiss hubby and I moved when my B Permit was still 9 months valid (issued by the old canton) although it was stamped that we're moving to a new canton. The new canton took my B Permit as we registered anew and informed us that I would be issued a new permit. I got it after ca. 3-4 weeks after. It was valid the same date that my previous permit would have expired.
