Re: [Zurich] Where to buy decent (but inexpensive) business suits?

Thank you everyone for your responses...

Lob Rockster - that price range "suits" me fine, since it's an emergency purchase (wedding this weekend but the rest of my clothes have not been shipped over from the US)

Tomcat - very useful!

Slacks / pants / trousers = Hosen (could never really figure out the difference between the various English words)
Suit = Anzug
2 piece suit = zwei-teiliger Anzug (can also be a "Kombination" which means a 2 pc suit where pants and jacket have different color)
3 piece = drei-teiliger Anzug
double-breasted suit = Zwei-reiher or zweireihiger Anzug
Shirt = Hemd
Vest = Weste
Tie = Krawatte
Bow-tie = Fliege
Jacket / Sport coat = Jacket or Sakko

I want to buy a xxx = Ich moechte ein (or einen) xxx kaufen.
A bit out of the way but might be worth it...thank you.

You could try the Strellson Outlook store - Lots of suits, shirts, and other clothes. Known brands, not just Strellson, and the prices aren't bad.

It's a bit out of the way though (next to the Bodensee).

Thank you DaveA for the tip, oh yeah and the YouTube was hilarious...simply hilarious!

Try Peek & Clopp in SihlCity, or the usual department stores in the town. If you are buying more than one , I would go to London. Bigger choice of style. Do you want it , Sir ? Suits you Sir.
