Re: [Zurich]Looking for organizing a swimming group

Had swom for a couple of times at Oerlikon. During weekdays seems pretty crowded, and even in the "Tempo" lanes you get people nearly with no clue how to swim (i.e. it's impossible to train properly). After 8.15/8.20pm the situation gets better (tempo lanes gets occupied by proper swimmers) but you don't get much time afterwards. Around 8.45 they start to modify the lane disposition, then get rid of some of them making a big pool-lane and leaving the few lanes available for some scuba course. Oh-oh, I said 8.45, weren't the pool closing at 9pm? Maybe I don't remember exactly... will check tomorrow.

This was on Tuesday, maybe other days will be different. But I've got the impression that it's possible to swim decently only on lates during the weekdays.

Situation is completely different on Sunday. Yesterday have been there from 4pm to 5.30pm, it's been beautiful. An entire lane for me, have been able to achieve 10x100 front crawl with 30" rest (next step is to reduce rest from 30 to 15"). Then some mixed sessions, ah, I have to buy a tablet to grip on for doing legs, there are no tools available for the free swimmers in the pool.

The pool is pretty clean and well made. I have to admit swimming on a 50mt pool makes the difference, as you don't have the possibility to give you the sprint every 25mt and gain some distance relaxing the muscles, but I think I will get used to these 50mt :-) It also passes quicker to do the 100mt as it's just 2x50.

Now waiting for somebody to join me.
