| OK, I beg to differ with this whole Javel = Bleach. Yes, it is quasi-bleach, but it is soooo watered down/environmentally safe that it does not actually function. Here's a clue, (and I know, because I have bought at least 6 different kinds in my futile search), if you smell it and it does not take the top of your head off, it is not real bleach and it will not eradicate mildew nor get your husband's tighty whities white.
I tried to smuggle in a gallon of Clorox from the US last month, but TSA snagged it.
Here's my question. To restaurateurs, I KNOW you must have a secret source for full-bore bleach. I owned a restaurant for 15 years and we went through gallons of it every month. PLEASE share your source and I will eat in your restaurant once a month for life! | |

For info, the regular bleach/Javel you get in the store is 2.5%. There is a drogerie just below the train station in Lausanne (across from the Modern Cinema

) that sells the 5% variety. Cost is CHF 2.30 per bottle. The higher strength might help.
For reference, Clorox bleach is 6,15% sodium hypochlorite.

Good luck.
