Re: Wanted: temporary living in Rotkreutz

Probably won't be easy - have a look at this lists of sites and see if there is anything going in the line of furnished accomodation.

We had this problem when we came back in July and couldn't move into our flat until mid October. We found a newly built 'holiday flat' for which a 'permanent' tenant had been found but who was willing to wait and moved in when we moved out.
There might be someone on here who wants to move out, has found a replacement tenant but the new folk cannot move in yet and neither party can afford paying rent in two places for three months...

Practice telling folk what wonderful tenants you will be and how much you would appreciate their cooperation and be prepare to 'down-size' with your bedroom requirements if possible. Consider places a little off the beaten track if you don't have school children and a longer commute which might not be too bad for a limited time. Our youngsters had to change schools twice which wasn't ideal but it was the best we could do.
Good luck.

This is exactly what I've been thinking about.
If someone around here is looking for house replacement/fill in for few months, in the area of Rotkreutz, Cham etc, we are looking for such an arrangement.

Thank you

That's exactly how I managed to find a temporary furnished place for a couple of months when I arrived in the area - tenant moving out, two months still to go on the lease.

You could also try posting a small ad on www.zug4you.ch - that's how I got the flat that I moved into a couple of weeks ago. I posted an ad there without any real hope of it leading to anything, got an answer from a landlord within two hours and signed a lease a week later. It could work for a temporary place as well, you never know.
