Beautiful 2 Rooms apartment with garden and Swiss standard cellar. 5 minutes walking from the lake and Rote Fabrik.
It's composed by a big and bright 31 mq living room, 6 mq kitchen, 14 mq bedroom and bathroom with bath tube.
It's a nice and warm place where I have been living for the last 3 years.
Very enjoyable in summer time where you can enjoy a warm and sunny brunch in the garden.
There is also a garage space for 150 CHF a month.
I am also open to sell some of the furniture.
Very convenient public transportation: 2 min walking from Tram 7 and Bahnof Wollihofen, 4 min from 33 Morgental station.

The OP is after somewhere he can walk to within 5 to 10 minutes from Hauptbahnhof, which is hard but not impossible to find. The two offers made above are not what he has asked for, so are not very helpful. Plus, they have already been placed elsewhere on the forum, so he would have seen them, knowing Phil_MCR.

Having lived at 10 minutes' walking distance from HB (6 minutes down at a jog, 14 minutes up and exhausted upon arrival), I can say the choice is limited and - noisy. But feasible.

I've attached a sort of perimeter that I reckon you could do roughly within the 5 - 10 minute range. Those places tend to not go on Homegate, more of a Ronorp crowd and many, many houses owned/rented by corporations, funds, doctors, psychologists and academic institutions.

Have a room available (in shared apartment with one other) 5min walk from HB. Its at tramstop Beckenhof. Flat has great views of the river and Uetliberg. The apartment is on Rennweg, which is off Bahnoffstrasse, 2 minutes walking distance to Paradepalatz and Zurich Main Station. The apartment is 4.5 rooms, modern and furnished and you are free to use my bedroom and all facilities during your stay. 1 existing roommate uses the second bedroom. Private elevator leads you directly to the apartment, which also has a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom. Internet, wifi, cable tv are all included in the price.

According to Google Maps, your apartment is about a 30 min. walk from Zürich HB. The TS is asking for an apartment that lays within 5 minutes of walking distance from Zürich HB.

My place will be available for the month of April, it is 2 mins from Zurich Main Station.
