Hey All!

I am currently looking for a double garage to rent in Basel stadt.

I know this is a very rare thing being in the city (very annoying coming from england where there are garages everywhere!), but am willing to look a bit further out into Allschwil aswell.

Bringing over my car from the UK soon and have lots of bikes and other things that will need to be kept in storage rather than my cellar (or kitchen at the moment!) It would also be used as a mini work shop by my boyfriend hence why a double would be prefered.

I've checked homegate, immoscout etc. and the majority of it is just parking spaces rather than an actual garage.

Let me know if any of you guys have any tips, suggestions or know of anyone wanting to rent their garage out!!

Hundreds available, around Fr 120,-- per month, sometimes a parking slot in an underground garage, not many double garages,

those are mainly parking places, not a closed garage which could be used as a workshop.

I know someone that frequently rents places for building cars - ill ask as I know its not easy to find somewhere if you plan to work on a car.

I dont know whether its just basel or the whole of switzerland but its impossible to find a mini workshop or anything like that over here!

Thats definatly something i miss from england, having a garage!

i have asked and he will make some calls - it will not be in basel though, it might be the area of ikea etc or surounding basel.

its a swiss thing, not many work on cas they just dump it at the dealer.

If you need a DIY garage with lifts etc there is one in weil am rhine for 12€ an hour.
