Hello, I'm looking for either a place in a shared apartment or an apartment of my own in Zurich. I'd prefer to be in Kreis 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, but I'm willing to go as far out as Oerlikon.

About me: I'm a 29 year old Canadian here to study biology. I would love to find a place close to central zurich, the lake, etc, but as I mentioned I'm willing to go further out if necessary. My girlfriend will be living with me, but we don't need a lot of space or take a ton of room. We've lived together in several shared apartments now and know how to get along with people.

I'm a clean, social, responsible roommate. I'm into hiking, camping, cycling, music, festivals, barbecue, basically spending as much time outside as possible. My girlfriend is also finishing her PhD in biology, and is really into gardening and beer-making.

We don't have many requirements - a room, something like 15 square meters would suffice, although we would greatly prefer to have a room and a half or two rooms for ourselves. A balcony or garden would be great too, as we plan on growing a ton of food this summer.

Thanks, but I know about that, + homegate + students.ch + scout24.ch + ronorp and I've been scouring them for weeks. If anybody knows of any lesser known sites I'm all ears.

You can try to search the displays at the University and in all Migros and Coop nearby.

Since you are associated with a university in Zurich, try http://www.marktplatz.uzh.ch/wohnungen/. I even got a few responses by posting a sublet wanted query there. Also try http://www.wohnen.ethz.ch/index_EN, which requires ETH/UZH logon -- though it doesn't tend to have as many listings in the areas you are interested in. Good luck!
