I've just moved to Lausanne and I'm looking for a (preferably) furnished studio or 1-bed apartment.

Does anyone know of any that are available?

My max budget is around 1250 CFr, for somewhere that includes all bills etc. A fast internet connection would also be very desirable.

I noticed a card in my apartment block last night for a 2.5 piece (1-bed) apartment on the 5th floor. It was around the 1200CHF mark as far as I remember...
I live up the hill in the 1005 postal area, nearest bar is the Bleu Lezard if that helps...

BTW, it will almost certainly be unfurnished..

hi ..how about a flat in Vevey /st legier..furnished ,costs me 1530 per month has 2 bedrooms but im leaving for england but have to come back fairly regularly perhaps once a month for a couple of days maybe we can work a price out i would accept 1200 and pay the rest myself and ill keep the bail/agreement which runs out in cstober pm me if sounds interesting....and more detals

Seeing as you work at the University, I'd recommend checking out the notice boards scattered across campus at both UNIL and EPFL. (Warning: it requires a bit of leg work and a sense of adventure. The EPFL campus is so confusing to navigate, I'm convinced it was designed neither by nor for human beings.)

Quite often, people try to sub-let their place for a year if they are going abroad as a visiting scholar or exchange student. My husband and I found a one-year sub-let of a fully furnished flat this way. Another advantage of renting a place from a student is that you have a high likelihood of living within a reasonable distance from campus.

If you can't find a furnished place, you should know that outfitting an apartment with the basics won't cost you too much. The Salvation Army in Lausanne has everything you need for very little money (so long as you're not averse to slightly outdated furnishings), and if it's not beneath you, the large garbage pick-up nights are the best deal in town. (In fact, just last night on the way home from our pub outing, I found myself helping my husband carry some rather large wooden objects home at 1 am. .)

i'm not sure if you found an apartment or not.. but i am renting the apartment that im staying in here is the info.. It's a two piece fully furnished apartment. That includes a spacious living area with a dining area, a cozy bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen. The apartment is located in the center of Lausanne with a few facilities with in walking distance: a grocery store and the post office as well as a few cafes. A bus stop is a few steps away from the building. laundry facilities are in the building. The rent includes heating, water, electricity and internet. The apartment comes with a TV. the rent is 1350 CH. if interested contact me. The apartment is available from December 9.
