Hi all!
I am a Canadian, moving to Geneva hopefully by mid-Feb. Like many other newbies to Switzerland, I am desperately looking for a flat and no luck so far. Since at least at the beginning I won't be able to drive, it'd be ideal to find a place close to where I will be working.

Is there anyone who could help me with neighbourhoods in the Plan-Les-Ouates area-- where are the good neighbourhoods and where I should stay away?? and if there are websites or real estate agenencies that you would recommend??

Can't really say I know Plan-Les-Ouates that well but I doubt there are any really "bad neighbourhoods" in Plan-Les-Ouates.

Unfortunately the real estate situation in Geneva is a bit "tense" at the moment (a bit of an understatement that):

I would say your best bets are either to get your company to find something for you, to first stay in some temporary accomodation and to look for something when you get here or to live further out (in the Vaud canton for example) and to commute by train.

We can only hope, then we'd have some REAL coffee and donuts, unlike those COOP substitutes...
