I'm looking for somebody to take over my apartment at the end of July latest, as I'll be leaving the country for a big trip. Details include:

The flat is in the center of Zurich (8005), 5 mins walk to main station (Zurich HB), 3 mins walk to famous Langstrasse and Limmatplatz (trams 4, 13, bus 32). There’s a big Migros on Limmatplatz plus lots of shopping, restaurants and bars within 5 mins walk. The lake is less than 30 mins walk away.

It’s a 3,5 room apartment, and there is access to roof for sun-bathing (shared, but I’ve never seen anyone up there) and a large, separate, padlocked storage area in the attic. There’s a shared laundry with 2 washing machines and 2 dryers (queues are very rare), with lots of drying space.

The rent is CHF 2,233 per month, incl. heating & hot water; excl: cable TV, WLAN, electricity.

The kitchen has an oven, fridge plus freezer, a dishwasher and Üetliberg-view. The bathroom has a bath and shower, plus hand-basin and toilet. It’s on the 5th floor, and there’s an elevator. The flat has currently still cable TV and WLAN access, if you are interested to take it over from me.

Would it be a problem if I take this apartment and then share it with someone from EF or ETH? That way you will be helping two EF members instead of one .

Pl let me know if this works...I don't think I need to even see the pics, the "Uetliberg view" factor is enough to entice me

Just to clarify, I had thought the OP wanted a sublet, so that's what I told over pm. I am happy to take this permanently, now that it is clarfied.

No, you are not being rude at all.

I thing many people do have preferences, that's why they add qualifiers like "nice flat:, nice neighbors, nice location etc, which seem funny to me. Many people also want easy access to tram, shops, want functional lift etc etc. To me these don't matter because I travel by walking or biking and don't miss a chance to climb stairs or hills

So there is extremely small chance that "I" turn down this offer. But I see your point, it does not increase the likelihood of the "OP" deciding to choose to let it to me.

On balance, I do think I would have a higher chance of closing the deal than the average EF applicant.

Thanks for your interest, but pls don't use this thread for discussing preferences.
TT I would suggest to see the flat and then apply first before discussing flatsharing with ur EF mates. The house owner will have to decide at the end of the day if he's renting it to you.
