[Zurich] Flatshare - seek, offer, links

Ok, I am interested in flatshare accomodation to minimise costs, meet people, etc.. Firstly, is this possible? I have trawled the Internet and there doesn't seem to be to much flatshare accomodation advertised.

I must admit, I am not too fussed whether I live in the old city or not as I will be working at Opfikon, which I believe is near the airport (although I could be wrong about this).

Anyway, any assistance would be appreciated (and yes I have introduced myself in the Introductions area)!

Re: Flatshare options?

Opfikon is indeed near the airport and public transport to your place of work will be good so living all over in Zurich won't be a problem.

Room in Apartment

I have rented a nice 3.5 room apartment in Enge, quite close to the lake and Enge station. I move into the apartment mid-April, and am considering renting out a room for a few months (until August).

The apartment is newly renovated, and comprises:
- large open plan kitchen/dining/lounge, medium sized bedroom, and large bedroom
- large South-facing terrace which catches sun
- apartment is at back of building away from traffic noise
- minutes from Zurichsee, Enge station
- really nice!!

The rent I am paying is approx SFR3200, and I would be looking to rent out a furnished room for SFR1800/mo, with one month's rent deposit. It is likely that a tenant could move in shortly after mid-April, depending on how quickly I can get the flat furnished. I guess it would be safe to say, start date 1 May.

I am an Australian male on the wrong side of 50, and more-or-less house-trained. My wife will join me in August/September, hence the possibility of a room for rent in the short-term. Given that I work in IT, I would probably prefer a tenant who did not work in IT, but I could be persuaded otherwise if you were "interesting"!

If you are interested, drop me a line, and tell me a bit about yourself - age, what you do, etc. I will need a letter from your employer, although I am not going to bother with a formal lease.

Re: Room in Apartment

The flat referred to in this thread is still available.

I have decided to ask 1600SFr and not 1800SFR per month.

Drop me a line if you are interested.

Looking for a flat in Zurich asap!

Hi there,

I've just moved to Zurich and due to a problem with my corporate flat I need to find either a flat or a room in a shared apartment as soon as possible and as central as possible!

I'm 25, speak English and German, friendly, reliable, responsible and sociable. I like to relax over a glass of wine in the evenings but I'm definitely no party animal. Quite happy to help out with my share of the housework when required. My boyfriend is currently staying with me in our current flat until 18 April, and then he's due to come and visit me about once a month. I'd need a room until at least June but probably more like the end of August.

If you have something available which you think would be suitable, please get in touch asap.

Thanks,

Mark

looking for room share or an apartment

Hi Everyone

I am looking for a roomshare , some one who is uncomplicated and easy going and respects the privacy of other person . My budget is under 1000 francs.

I am leaving my current place in the end of April 2007, so looking for an accomodation from 1st May 2007.

Please let me know if someone knows of any room share or any unfurnished apartment which might be available under 1000 francs.

I have checked various websites like http://www.wgzimmer.ch , but I am finding it difficult to get a roomshare.

Please let me know if there are any other websites.

Dont wanna be homeless by the end of April, so forum members please help this soul

Thanks
