Looking for aprt. in Zollikon/Kustnach/Erlenbach/Herrliberg and Meilen

Looking for a flat in the above (tax favorable) areas. Min 2.5/3 rooms, max 4500CHF rent.

Trading a wonderful penthouse apartment in 8006 with a nice roomy terrace.

Aprox, 110 sq-meters, Monthly rent 3700 CHF.

Re: Looking for aprt. in Zollikon/Kustnach/Erlenbach/Herrliberg and Meilen

That's my area - I'll keep an ear out and an eye on the noticeboard at Migros. Zollikon/Küsnacht are very hard to get into - but nice and close to town!

When I first moved here I thought that if I upped the budget I'd have no problem. Unfortunately that wasn't the case

It depends how badly you need the lower taxes (i.e. what you earn) but if you need lower taxes then you might want to look at SZ.

Re: Looking for aprt. in Zollikon/Kustnach/Erlenbach/Herrliberg and Meilen

Many thanks Mark !
Of course the favorable taxes are reason enough to try finding a 'lil spot in this specific area.
However, I'm also a huge lake (actually any kind of water) fan, eventually I would like to get a boat and being close to the lake feels like a step in the right direction. Even if I know that the waiting time to get a harbor spot on the lake is several years.

What I don't like here is the system with only the 2 yearly move dates and the 3 month notice before that.
I'm going to cancel my contract before the last of June (so we can leave before the 1st of Oct), but I don't expect to find the big amount of adds for apartments with move in date 1st Oct on immopool until earliest aug/sep.
Unfortunately that's a lot of uncertainty during the period that I could do without, but it seems that's the only way to change apartment here.
BR,
