Hello,

Does anyone have any ideas as to where one should look to rent a cheep flat in Zurich (hopefully near Oerlikon), month to month, or for fewer than six to twelve months?

I desperately need to find accommodations in order to return to Switzerland, and am not yet employed there.

Does anyone have any experience/advice on securing a flat while unemployed?

I'd try with a room in a shared apartment, where the other tenants might not mind too much if you are not employed:

Shared with someone who already has a place will be the only way to go.

He has a room in Uitikon-Waldegg. 600p/m super apartment, view of alps in distance in Winter. Room furnished with double bed and wardrobe. It's an attic room with vaulted ceilings.
I viewed it yesterday morning. I'm still thinking about it though, as it may be slightly far out for me. will email him next wk with a decsion.
