Hi John-
Are you coming to teach at the ZIS upper school? My husband Bill teaches 7th grade history at the campus in Horgen.

We live in Langnau am Albis which is very close to the upper school - a history teacher at the upper school lives here as well and after this next school year when the new school is built and the middle school moves to the villa in Kilchberg my husband will be able to bike there and is happy about that.

For example...
Furnished/Unfurnished Apartment in Thalwil
Centrally located apartment in Thalwil will be available in the end of June as either furnished or unfurnished.
The 3.5 room apartment is 90 m2 with a large balcony overlooking mainstreet in Thalwil. The monthly rent is 1,780 CHF and is inclusive of the water. The electricity bill has been 50 CHF's every two months and then we generally have gotten some CHF's back at the end of the year when they do the actual calculation based upon our usage.
Address:
Götthardstrasse 42
8800 Thalwil
The main bedroom has one bed, three closets (for hanging clothes), two drawer cabinets (folded clothes) and one dresser. The second bedroom (we use it primarily as an office/guest room) has a desk and a futon. The main living area has two couches, a dining table and four chairs, TV, DVD and CD player. The bathroom has a mini washer in it as "Waschentag" is only every second Thursday. So, the mini washer hooks up to the bathtub for washing of clothes, which then can be hung up in the apartment to dry (I plan to leave the drying racks as well). Finally, the Kitchen has a dishwasher and oven (no microwave -a separate one could be purchased though) and is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, cups, glasses, silverware, hand mixer and such. I will even leave the iron, ironing board and hoover.
It is located directly next door to Starbucks, across the street from COOP (open until 8 PM) and also across the street from the Post Office. Migros and Denner are within a 3 minute walk as well. It takes 2 minutes to walk from our apartment to the Gleis in Thalwil. We haven't had a car during the 2.5 years we have lived here and have had no problems living here as the trains are great and close. We are in Enge in just 4-8 minutes or ZHB in 8-12 minutes, depending on the train.
Please reply to this ad and we will gladly send over some photo's of the apartment.
Good luck and HTH!!!
