My wife and I are visiting Zurich this weekend, as I interview for a job (worker bee, not queen bee) on Monday. We would like to visit some representative apartments - in fact anything, so we can get an idea of what we might later find (if things work out). We have a 400 sq m house here, so we already know we will be in "space shock". If anyone knows of open houses, or someone who might be leaving in the future that would show us a place, great. Willing to commute 1hr outside of Zurich too (heck, NYC is a 2 hour each way commute, millions do it every day here in NJ).

Its not like I have not been trying the past few weeks. I just joined this forum (possibly a bit prematurely) on the urging of one of your members.

I have been looking at homegate. I also made several requests to see apartments advertised on homegate, but they were already taken. Requests to the contact for other potential apartments to see have gone unanswered. Queries to Immoblen (sp ?) in Zurich to register now to see places that weekend have also gone unanswered.

If I can find one or two open houses on Saturday, I think that will fill the need. I have a long list of town to visit, which I got from a Swiss friend-of-a-friend who lives outside of Zurich and commutes in.

I am moving to US and my apartment will be available from 01July2007.

If it helps I've not been able to make an appointment to see a house on a weekend yet. Try changing the day if you can.

To be honest you will get a fairly good idea of whats available by just looking at the adverts on the sites Lob posted.
