My husband and I will be moving to Zurich in January 2010 with our two quiet dogs and baby on the way! We are looking for a 2-3 bedroom flat (preferably on the ground floor with a small garden), close to transport links, and in a family friendly area (we are quite flexible on location!). I have heard its quite difficult to find accommodation in and around Zurich, so if anyone has a property that might be available please let me know!

Also - any recommendations on neighborhoods would also be great! My husband will be commuting to Zug daily so anywhere maybe in the Southwest Zurich area to recommend?

I suggest to look for an apartment in the Area Enge or Wiedikon, probably Alstetten as well, as they are the closest ones to Zug.

At the moment it is not so hard to find an apartment in Zurich as it was years ago. But it is quite hard to find a payable one. For a 3 room apartment you need to count around CHF 2000.

With a baby there is mostly no problem to rent an apartment. But it will be hard to find one where dogs are allowed.
