I will be moving to Lausanne with my wife and 8 month old daughter, in the month of July.
We are looking for a furnished apartment in Lausanne area, close to either EPFL or a train station (with easy commute to EPFL). I will be needing the apartment for a short-term till I look-around and finalize an apartment for the long term,

Size of the apartment - at least 1.5;

I tried searching in homegate.ch, but not much of a choice as far as furnished apartments go.

I also had a look at the ones listed on the Lausanne tourism website,

Please let me know if you have or know of any apartment that's available.

Try oklogements - http://www.oklogements.ch/index_en.htm or residence-midi (link from tourist office site)- not sure how your budget is, but furnished places in Lausanne are pretty pricey. We found temporary accommodation from the list provided by the accommodation office, but do not take the info provided in that as fact (the tourist office have added a disclaimer) - you will have to contact the people directly.
