The Moderator team has been informed that the young lady who died in a tragic road accident Friday morning in Basel (as reported in the Basler Zeitung) was Begga, one of our very active members from Basel. She did much to encourage the social side of EF and was a lively personality with many interests. We will all miss her.
We are all thinking too of her close friends and family, who must be devastated.
We would be grateful if this Thread could be kept for memories of things which members have enjoyed and shared with Begga, tributes to her as a member and as a friend.

I am truly shocked to read this today. I never had the opportunity to meet Begga but always enjoyed reading the intelligent and often witty comments she posted here. She was a class act.
A devastating loss of such a young and promising life. My thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.

I will miss those nice conversations we had behind the scene, those moments we gave good advices to each other and the support. My head is still in the fog trying to make sense of what happened. Only time will sooth our heart and help up to accept that you're gone.
Begga, you have been here to change many lives. You have been the one who brang a whole group of people together and created a tight group of friends in Basel by putting so much energy to organise all sorts of events.
We all going to miss you a lot, those events won't be the same without you. But be sure of one thing, this last event will be your biggest one. All those who love you, know you and respect you will come again together only for you.

Seeing you at grumpy's cheese stand or for drinks on a random weekend or at the Ploughman's lunches with the Basel crew always brought a smile to my face. You lit up every room you entered. And your kind and beautiful soul will be missed so much by those who knew you. But we will remember you.

My sincere condolances to her family, dearest friends, and everyone else who hearts she touched through her warmth, presence, deeds and simply her smile. The loss cannot be expressed in words. Her contribution online was invaluable, but to those who knew her in real life, she will be irreplaceable.
No doubt Begga is finding her place in Asgard, she earnt it. (I'm sure she is probably right now trying to convince Odin to put in a few WLAN hot spots  )
