For anyone interested in the technicalities, we're now operating on a dual quad-core Dell PowerEdge R410 located in Manchester. It has about twice the power of the previous server, and a fresh operating system.
There could be a few teething problems. If you notice any unusual errors please report them here. | | | | | Is this so the admin can VPN in and watch iplayer?

Maybe in the same context as the missing update mentioned by Ouchboy: Since the hardware switch, the Discussion Forum Overview list on the home page isn't updated any more, no matter what computer or browser I use. The latest post listeded is from July 16, 04:48.
Besides that, ever since the software upgrade a few months ago, said Discussion Forum Overview list has been a mess anyway. The posts of which excerpts were shown hardly ever were the latest ones. And they all were terminated with "…", a clear sign that something was wrong.

It seems like the whole of the home page is not updating properly. There are out of date events still showing as well.

This issue hasn't gone unnoticed up here in EF Towers. Rapunzel is currently growing her hair to allow access to the server.

Because in control panel i put the option to view threads for the past 2 weeks |

Thanks, the non-updating homepage, together with the extraneous "&hellip" characters, has now been fixed.
