This is a heads up that a special offer will shortly be emailed to all EF members.

What sort of offers? Would be good to know some details before we opt in or out.

| | | | | Yes Bob, but then we also have to enter information like our dob. I could easily put in something that says I'm 21 (again), but frankly it p!sses me off that I have to do this at all.

Just had the message of invalid birthday. Why does the local need to know what year I was born?

Hmmm, the birthday thing isn't something that we've set up.
I think it's default requirements from the vBulletin software.
Am looking to switch it off now.

It was optional when I joined, and has only recently been added as a required field - maybe when that additional question about Switzerland was added to avoid spamming?

No need to get all hostile about it.
The birthday requirement is now switched off.
I genuinely don't know how it crept in if it wasn't there before.

Wow, if this is what you call hostility I suggest you quietly log of and don't check any of the other threads on here!
And take it from me. My DoB fields are all blank. I've been here through all time.

Couldn't find the advert filter setting.
I don't require any Viagra or Cialis for the record, nor any dandruff shampoo, walking aids, colostomy bags, spectacles, hearing aids or seeing eye dogs.
Airline discount stuff, restaurants, wellness weekends and Alpine days - bring them on... | | This user would like to thank Assassin for this useful post: | |

I also like dodgy websites where I can enter the passwords to my bank accounts so they can check that my accounts are OK.
