[New Feature] Project Tools

Right now this is a "pre-announcement", but as this thread progresses it might become an announcement.

A few months ago I purchased a new add-on called Project Tools. This comes from the people who make VBulletin (the software on which this forum is based).

These past few months I haven't had time to configure or examine this software, but I've decided that there may be people here (including me) that can make use of it. So this will be moving up the priority list shortly.

Right now I'm just trying to generate a little but of "buzz" for this feature, so if you are interested, please see the information about the product here or a video overview here [vbulletin.com]

What does this tool do? It allows you to collaborate on all sorts of various projects, track tasks, bugs, issues, whatever you like. It could be used from anything from fixing a bike to rebuilding a website.

Two immediate applications that spring to mind are the organisation of the Christmas party (though we might be a little late for that), and the ongoing work we are doing on the server and the forum itself. But I'm sure you guys can dream up lots of other applications for the use of this tool, especially if you are collaborating with other forum members. I'm sure many of you fit in this category already.

So if this sounds like it's interesting for you please take the time to check out the links above. If you'd like to be one of the first to play with it, I may make it only available to a small group of people who want to play with it before it becomes public. I still have to learn how to configure it and use it, so I could use some feedback from interested parties.

Thanks Mark, one of the things I like here on EF is the communication/consultation approach you have.
