bye-bye Brussels

OK, I think I’ve done my best ticking the boxes on all the recommendations that were made to me about Brussels: frites at Antoines on Place Jourdan, drinks at Terrasse, beer at Delirium, seafood at one of the places off Place St. Catherine (that didn’t end too well – apparently allergic to mussels), regular visits to l’Ultime Atome and l’Ultime Hallucination for beer and portion mixte, Pain Quotidien on Sablon for coffee breaks, tried waterzooie, chicon gratin, stoemp and saucisse and many, many a waffle, and visited Antwerp.
I wish I had more time to eat and drink erm I mean explore and see more of Belgium, but I’m being summoned back – cruelly, suddenly - because of stuff like this

Mixed feelings about leaving after what feels like too short a time with a long Christmas break inbetween, but very excited about having Nettie stalk me again and seeing other friends. Now I just need to find a way to translate my stroll-into-work-at-9ish Brussels work lifestyle to workaholic Zurich….
