One Down, Three To Go

It's the first Saturday of September. Hmm, three more Saturdays before I finally fly out of Manila. I should really be preparing for my trip, but I don't know how to start. I've looked at some of the expat websites out there and checked out the relocation checklists that they have. Most of the time, I end up just crossing a lot of things out simply because it doesn't apply in my case.
So I'm taking on a more practical approach to my move.
1. Do I have my passport ready? Check! Visa's there. I have to use it before end of September.
2. Do I already have a plane ticket? Not yet. I do know I'm leaving on the 25th but I have to wait til the wife gets back from her business trip. I'm not sure how much credit we have left in the card.
3. Do I have all the stuff I'll be bringing with me to Switzerland? Technically, yes. I'm just bringing clothes. Lots of it. It seems that clothes are expensive in Switzerland. Good thing the wife is on a business trip in the US and she got me a whole load of jackets and warm clothing.
4. Do I have all of the important documents that I need to bring along? Birth certificate, marriage certificate, diplomas, and transcript of records. Am I missing anything?
5. Do I have a place to stay already? Technically, yes as well. I have a flatshare arranged by the company, but I need to look for a place of my own as soon as I get there. The wife will be coming over the whole month of December and the plan is for me to have already secured our own apartment by then. How difficult is it to get a flat while I'm still out here?
I'm at a loss. With just three more weekends to go, I don't know what else I should be doing. I have a feeling I'm missing something. I just hope I can manage to remember what it is before I run out of time.

| | Get a few passport format photos of you and the same for your wife. It's required for your permit and your travel pass (if you decide to use public transport a lot). You might need some for work also. |
