All the illusions I had about leaving work to look after the kids, and watching the sharemarket to make some extra cash. That old woman who lived in the shoe had the right idea about whipping them all.. but I'm not sure how she did this soundly before putting them to bed. Does that mean with lots of sound? That's the only way it seems to happen in this house.

3 children do seem to fill the day though.
Notes to self:
Fingerpainting should only be done in the appropriate environment! Not with mummy's make-up! Just because I no longer use it, doesn't mean that you can! And those eye-shadow colours weren't supposed to be mixed in the pallet either! Not only does she wear more make-up, my 6 year old girl A, even dresses better than me!
I'd also like to kill the man who invented the shower nozzle that can be taken off the wall! The dates on which this has been taken off to clean all the bathroom walls, cabinets, toilet by my 4 year old boy M, shall be engraved on his headstone!
The little one N is at the time of print, almost 10 months old. There is a lot going on in her little life at the moment - she fell face-first onto the stone floor over her big brothers gumboots today. Unfortunate if you are learning to walk.

Looking forward to the new decade

Posted 10.01.2010 at 23:21 by Rangatiranui
Today was a productive day. Took down the Christmas tree, did 12 loads of washing (well, it certainly felt like it), shovelled snow, and did all the usual "day" things that need to be done (cleaning floor, cooking meals). I am looking forward to this new decade. I somehow feel like it is really a new start. Wacky, as it is really just another day.
The holiday was grand, and I really miss the sauna already. It was a fantastic hotel, with swimming pool, sauna, own ski pist (for kids...

Started Running again - yay!

Posted 23.12.2009 at 23:13 by Rangatiranui
I've started running in the morning again, and I actually enjoy that it is so dark and crisp in the mornings. Of course I have to be home by 7am, to serve the troops. At present I cant do more than 20 minutes anyway, because I am not exactly fit, but I will be one day .

Then today I saw an article about the limmat lauf in the paper. I asked if I might be allowed to enter - yes we have to ask, as if I were to want to enter a race again, it would mean someone would have to look after...

Its not yet 8am, and I am already seeing red, screaming and shouting at the kids.
Birthday cake for party today has been defaced (it was sitting on the bench - finished it last night, this morning there are finger marks all through the icing.)
Neighbours kid is sick and they invited us over yesterday - i do hope ours dont get sick - just have no energy for that at the moment.
I think I need to get out more..
YAY! there is a dusting of snow on the lawn..

10 days til chirstmas

Posted 15.12.2009 at 22:24 by Rangatiranui
The kids are getting excited - i'm getting really scared! N has no presents. What does a 9 month old need? Her favourite toys at the moment are toilet rolls and raisins. She'll play with the wrapping.
A has the most presents and probably will still be dissatisfied. M.. I can't even remember what I got him.. must do a stock take - and this is the last possible week for shopping as school holidays start on friday - and i'll be darned if i traipse through toyshops with those 3 in tow!

Another Birthday

Posted 25.11.2009 at 22:41 by Rangatiranui
Oh, and on the weekend its M's birthday, but it doesn't have the hype involved as the "first born"s does. This is sad! Poor boy.
The big 0-4. Time flies. And he will stay a baby until I SAY he is no longer a baby! Even if he himself insists that he is now a big boy!
