I am contemplating investing in a UK business. I wish to remain in Switzerland. My services include finance and administration for this group.

Any thoughts from anyone been through a similar story would be great before I go off and pay for some UK tax advice.

text missing from the post. I am setting up a Swissco as a subsidiary of the UK company and probably intermediate holdco of Indian and Chinese operational companies. I am concerned the UK could attack residency of the swissco and indeed myself as I will be shareholder and board member in UK (will travel to uk once a month for 4/5 days so well below residency levels). As before any thoughts on issues others have faced would be good

Any profits for the Swissco generated in the UK are subject to tax in the UK. That's my understanding, anyway. Of course "generated" and "in" are the key words for discussion.

I work for a UK client. Once a quarter I go over for a couple of days. The rest of the time I work from my home office, in Switzerland. The UK don't get any tax.

Isn't there any withholding tax to be levied when you get paid by an UK company for your services ???
