| Question for all online shop owners
I was wondering if anybody out there with a webshop or who works or sells a product or service out of the home would be interested in organizing a kind of social event or home party type of thing on a very informal basis.
After having started my own online shop, I have discovered a lot of others (mostly owned by stay-at-home moms) that I never even knew existed.
Just an idea, but it might be fun to get together to show what we have. We could rent some kind of party room (most communities have large rooms with kitchen and bathroom facilities that can be rented for the day- often for fairly cheap). If we could get say 5-10 people together who would like to show what they have, it would cost maybe 10-20 francs each.
There are usually lots of tables and everyone could take as much room as they need. Another thought would be to send out invitations (not restrict it only to expats or the english community, but invite other friends, neighbours etc.) We could offer tea, coffee, snacks. Instead of making anyone feel like they have to buy something, it could be more of a social thing and a way to get to know new people as well as present our products or service.
I'm not interested in organizing a big event, just something for fun that also won't cost a fortune. I would love to hear if anyone is interested or has any other ideas.
Thanks,
Chris
