Just a query on experiences selling stuff at Petersplatz markt and how much a licence cost for the day? Is it worth it in general? I quite like the idea of being a trader there for the day, haggling with buyers n all.
Re: Selling at Petersplatz markt Saturday morning?
Ok here are my thoughts:
1 Get there early
2 Arm yourself with patience and lots of coins and change
3 People are cheap (most), Swiss are usually very fair when it comes to prices, if you are selling something for 10 and they say they will give you 1 just ignore them....
4.- Take a chair with you or you will hate yourself, also sunscreen or a cap (hat)
5.- Take plenty to drink and maybe a snack ,the snacks at the marlket are sooo expensive
6 Be careful you do not take back stuff you dont want (like the cockroach I took the last time I went EWWWWWWWW)

Do you know it it's mandatory to reserve, or can you turn up on the day and pay your fee to a market controller bloke (or bird; I'm not sexist)?
A friend who last "setup" his stall of wares just turned up on the day and paid at the blue van/office. I'd be surprised if they ever run out of space.....
