Mother and baby swimming courses

Hi moms/dads

I am wondering what the market is like out there for Mother/Dad English speaking swimming courses? I am thinking of offering some. If you would be interested or have any comments that you would like to add please drop me a note.

Cheers
Ali

As far as I know, there should be regulations, ie license, water temp, other hygienic standards? I wonder how that works here. I took prenatal exercise, the water had to be 34degrees. It was fun.

I think the market is quite "buoyant" if you'll pardon the pun. In Zurich, especially, there are waiting lists for most categories of swimming sessions for babies/parents and young kids.

Re: Mother and baby swimming courses

Would it be just for babies or would you consider hold courses for older children? Would it be during the week or would it be possible to have Saturday morning classes?

Sorry for all the questions

Re: Mother and baby swimming courses

No worries about questions!

At first it would probably be just for younger children/babies. It depends on what you are looking for your child to learn, if it is just getting used to the water and easing fear for older children then I would be happy to help. Anything more and I would be lacking qualifications.

On that note. I have a certificate from the Amateur Swimming Association in teaching swimming, experience in teaching Special Needs children and was a Surf Lifesaver for approx 4yrs in SA.

As parents would this be enough or would you be looking for Swiss qualifications?

All comments welcome and thanks in advance!

Cheers
Ali
