Hello everyone,

would anyone know what is the going rate for translating legal documents from German to Greek? I've checked some agencies online and the prices seem to vary dramatically. I've seen 3 CHF per line, but also 50 CHF for 100 characters , so what's the truth? I am not expecting you to know the exact rate for the Greek language, but probably the one for some other "not so common" European language, so I can do the math.

yes, it varies from agency to agency... CHF 3.10 up to CHF 4.50 per line is in the normal range. If the translation requires a high specialization it is likely that the charge is a bit higher. Added charges are common too if the translation has to be delivered on a short notice. For legal translations you can seek out www.lawtank.ch. They're specialized in that field.
