Does anyone know of anyone who buys and brings expat cars - RHD - to the UK as a business?

what are you selling?

I'm not looking for a RHD car nor am I personally selling one, what I wish to know is if anyone buys RHD cars from expats and then drives them back to the UK to re-sale them....

I have a van rotting in my garden because I could not be bothered with the hassle of bringing it back and selling it there.

I would on the other hand let my RHD van go a little cheaper to get rid off it and then add the funds to buy a Swiss one which does not require matriculation etc

I have a Swiss friend lumbered with a RHD BMW he keeps getting stopped by the police, I was wondering if anyone did this sort of work for a living to make a few francs, cars are usually UK registered so wont need to be imported...

Im someone could get it for a few K less than the normal UK price, drive it to Peacehaven or Newhaven or wherever (via the ferry) pop it on a ferry and stick it a Brighton garage and still make a few bucks????

I would but driving is not my thing...

Does anyone feel that business could be made here?

In a word... no. 2nd hand cars in the UK are so cheap and difficult to sell at that. With transport and ferry costs, added to that the weak pound and for a 10 year old beemer you'd likely get 100 chufs.

i have a German friend who was fined for not matriculating his German car, I was thinking more of a disposal service..
