I am an EU citizen and want to set an individual company in Switzerland. I need a legal address. I do not need office space, as I will be working mostly with my laptop.
I cannot use my home address (the owners do not allow this).
I searched the web but found only some fancy services which look very expenses.
Can anybody suggest another way ?
I have read that layers can host legal addresses, is it correct ?
How do I find them ?
I do not speak German, nor I want to have an address in the German speaking part of Switzerland.

A Swiss company (i.e. I want to have a legal address in switzerland).

I have read in this same forum and in other place that a post box cannot be used as the legal address of a company in Switzerland.
Any other ideas ?

A swiss post box address is not a postfach address, all the mail gets scanned & it's your name so it's probably OK.

I have discovered that professionals called "fiduciaires" in the french-speaking Switzerland, often offer the service of legal business address.
I have found one in my neighborood who asks 300 CHf/year, so I am going with him.

And did he also tell you the minimum capital requirements that are needed plus the total fees per annum that will be required??? In my experience it will come to a lot more that an the 300 for letter forwarding in the end.

mhm, I guess you are now talking about money requirements related to the swiss public administration, not to the "fiduciaire".
This is a different story, I was only interested in the legal address.
Anyway I am setting up an individual company, and requirements are reasonable.

Some people or companies need an address in Switzerland, for several reasons:

- need a "physical" address to receive, scan and forward mails. This service id provided by CPAs (called "fiduciaire" in french) and the Post office ("La Poste")

- need a legal business address for registration at Commercial registrar. This service is provided by CPAs only.

I doubt whether the necessary services, i.e. mainly immediate forwarding of all your mail, can be provided for such a low yearly fee.

Such services are not limited to CPAs in Switzerland. Everyone can provide domiciles to other companies. It is, however, recommendable that you have the necessary infrastructure in place, i.e. you should be ready for immediate mail forwarding.
