Re: Any marketing ideas?

i guess the other advice is to forget about marketing and focus your time on writing the next book.

you have a talent for writing and quality wins over time.

This is what I was going to suggest.

The ebook double millionaire has 17 or so books out and most of them are series/serials. People will go back to find the next episode. Or if they like one book they will go back and get the next.

And of course, the more books the more customers the more word of mouth, etc.

Good luck!

Re: Any marketing ideas?

Congratulations on finishing your book!

I've started more than one but finishing is ... well, something else.

How are you tracking sales on Amazon? Does it show the numbers publically or do you have to log in? Or are they emailed to you directly since you have self-published?

There is an author portal that posts the sales each week. You can also use it to re-publish another edition or change pricing.

Re: Any marketing ideas?

I'd love to read your book, but don't have a kindle and probably never will (in my opinion, nothing compares to holding the real thing and looking at them on the shelves, all pretty and in alphabetical order). So, my question is, are you thinking about getting it printed?
And congratulations, it must be an incredible feeling.

I don't have a kindle. But I use the Kindle app on my Iphone/Ipad. If you have any of these types of devices you can get the app. Not sure if there is a kindle app for the computer.

Anyway, I bought Mike's book. I haven't finished it yet. This has nothing to do with the quality of the book/story/writing at all! I just don't read as much as I used to. Too many other distractions.

For 99c, I can totally encourage a fellow artist & EFer.

Re: Any marketing ideas?

I bought it too and though it is a far cry from the usual Chick Lit rubbish I normally read I am really enjoying it!

I also wanted to say congratulations. Many people have this dream, few of them complete it (myself included.) Whether you make the big bucks or not, you have already succeeded in my mind. Well done!

Oh... mine was free. Why did yours cost money?

Ain't that the truth! If I had a nickel for every book I started.... I'd be $0.55 richer. :P
