In March I am moving to Geneva. It will take some time before I find a flat. Meanwhile I will need an address for receiving mail. I thought about applying for a POB. Does anyone knows if the Swiss Post requires a proof of living address in Geneva?

Also, does anyone have experience with the service Swiss Post Box (http://swisspostbox.com/en)?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

There is a waiting list for PO boxes.

Post Restante is free of charge, and they keep stuff for up to one month, just choose a convenient post office, and get
your mail sent there, for your later collection. Just take an ID to the public counter.

Swiss Post Box is a quite intresting solution and I use it as well. You don't need to live in Switzerland to get an address and you have access to your letters wherever you are.
