IT Training courses in Switzerland - wanted

Does anybody have any information on IT related training courses in Switzerland, taught in English?

My company gives me a budget each year to take courses, but i've no idea where to even look here. I'm talking things like one/two week courses, or maybe evening courses (i'd prefer to do it during work hours!).

Thanks, Dan.

Well you've got budget, and usually having a course in English means travelling to say, London to do it. Flight, hotel, etc. Get my drift?

If I remember right UBS gives employees after five years, an extra weeks wages, or a paid week-long training course doing whatever they like.

Eek. Have you seen their webpage? It's completely ground Firefox to a halt.

I won't be doing any of their web-courses

Re: IT Training courses in Switzerland - wanted

I actually found it as one of the results using the rather remarkable www.search.ch and putting in "it training" into the little box I found I could type in followed by clicking on the little grey button

Yeah but that doesn't give me any personal feedback from people who've done any of these themselves

I can go along with that. I once compared the cost of doing Sun's Java course in Zürich with the cost of doing it in Bangkok (incl flight and hotel and 2 weeks vacation at a beach resort) and I think it was still slightly cheaper.

BTW I wonder if you can do them in Indonesia...Java courses in Java.

Cheers,
Nick

Re: IT Training courses in Switzerland - wanted

Hi Dan,

I am a self-employed IT Consultant in the Basel area (but work in Zürich and Bern as well) and do IT trainings for individuals and companies - either on-site or at your home.

I am a certified Microsoft Office Specialist, all training documentation is Microsoft approved and have been doing training and consultant for more than 15 years.

Let me know if you are still interested.

Ferdinand
