Crowd-funding in CH - personal experiences?

Hi everyone. I read a recent thread about crowd-funding a few days ago and, as someone looking to go down that route with a product in the very near future, I wondered if anybody on the forum would be willing to share their experiences/tips/don'ts for the various platforms.

At the moment I am leaning towards 100 Days as my first choice. We are lucky, in that our product lends itself very well to the 'goodies'/'giveaways' model so I am relatively optimistic, despite being quite sceptical of crowd-funding overall.

Thanks for any feedback in advance!

Thanks! Perhaps I should have made it clearer in my opening post that this was the thread I had read. I am hoping for more in-depth responses from people who have tried the crowd-funding route in Switzerland and what worked/failed.

Re: Crowd-funding in CH - personal experiences?

A very successful example of crowdfunding occurred across the border in Germany 107 years ago. In 1908, after the sole Zeppelin airship was destroyed in a windstorm near Stuttgart, a crowdfunding campaign began which raised RM 6 million, a large amount of money at that time. These funds were used to re-start the Zeppelin airship company and also to set up the Zahnradfabrik GmbH in 1915, to supply gearboxes and transmissions for Zeppelins. This company was renamed ZF Friedrichshafen AG in 1992.

Following its takeover of TRW Automotive, ZF Friedrichshafen will now be the world's largest auto parts supplier with 138,000 employees and Eur 40 billion in revenues, comparable in size to ABB. An article in today's NZZ elaborates:

Re: Crowd-funding in CH - personal experiences?

It's still not that well known or used in CH so I'm afraid you won't get any real answers here. I would go by the most known sites and simply give it a try.

As I said in the other post, take time to study those fundings who made it and apply what is best to your case.

I'm sorry I can't help you more than this for now, but I got many ideas coming up and might try it too in the future.

Best of luck to you!!
