Business card help

Hi all, could someone possible help me/tell me how to aline the business cards so they print straight directly on to each card area? Really struggling as they keep coming out wonky and the writing that is supposed to be on one is too high and so going onto the other card, please help! Feeling frustrated!

Thanks

Re: Business card help

Might be obvious but just in case not...Make sure your paper size in the program you're using for design corresponds to the paper size in your printer. Make sure the paper fits snugly in the printer - adjust the tension thingys (for lack of a better word) so they fit without the paper moving around.

If you're using a template, be sure to adjust your margin/tab settings so they correspond to the printable card area.

To avoid wasting cardstock, it's a good idea to print a few test versions on plain paper to see how things line up.

I second Vistaprint--several iterations have all come out well.

I believe you're using Word. If that's the case, you should be able to select the type of document you would like to print and determine its parameters. If you're using stance-out paper, there should be a number on the back, which you would have to insert into the program.

Re: Business card help

There's always the option to get them printed professionally - I've used wirmachendruck.de in Germany for their great prices, and they deliver to CH. Worth a look.
