Logo : Legal issues

Dear all,
I am a graphic designer and designing logos for entrepreneurs.

In one of my products, i am going to use Zapf Dingbat fonts distributed by Mac OS.

Am I allowed to use any OS distributed font for making a logo and use it commercially ?

regards,

Re: Logo : Legal issues

If you have a commercial use licence from MS for the font, you can. To strengthen your copyright on the logo, you might want to make a few minor changes to the standard font.

Have you ever paid the 200sfr to "copyright" a logo? I believe they usually check against other protected logos before allowing the registration for your logo

You're thinking of trademarks. And they don't check - it's up to the other trademark owners to check.
