Zurich tax?

Hi English Forum

I'm still not sure how the swiss tax system works, my employee automatic pays my tax since i have B visa.

I'm about to open a business that sell freelance services and design products but i can't really grasp what tax % i have to calculate with, approximately, since it's hard to find precise number on the internet so far..

Do you have a good estimate how much a small company with 100.000chf revenues and 30.000 profits a year would pay in tax?

#2
And regarding personal income tax, lets say the 30.000chf added as incometax. How much should i calculate i would need to pay. Approximately.

Just approximately since i have not feeling if it 5% or 30% when you add up all taxes..

Thanks in advance.

Cheers Tom

Depends how much your earning to start with, like most countries in the world! You will have to Pay AHV/AVS in addition to tax. If you actually give figures then someone might just give you a sensible answer, of course we need to know if you have children & how much your wife earns if you have one.

Re: Zurich tax?

You say you have a B permit and plan to open a company. It sounds to me like you plan to be a least part-time self employed. In that case I suspect you need the permission of AWA in addition to basic knowledge of the taxation system on Kanton Zurich.

Re: Zurich tax?

I added some number as a reference for to much you would be earning. 100.000chf revenues 30.000chf profit. All payed out to the owner at the end of your.

Let's say all the company profit is payed out as salary, what would the tax then be? I just looking for a estimated feel of we talk about 5% 7,5% 10% 20% 30% tax you pay. Let's assume it's a small one man freelance company.

Cheers Tom

Without knowing your other income the question can't be answered. However If that's all you earned with deductions there would be very little tax to pay, AHV will cost more than tax.

Re: Zurich tax?

Assuming 4 income steps, would you then have an approximate feeling of the taxation. Small % fees and inaccuracies is no problem, just to get an idea how it works.

25.000chf a year
50.000chf a year
100.000chf a year
200.000chf a year

Cheers, thank for all the great answers
