Occasionally selling food on markets

Hello everyone!
I have a steady job in Zurich which I really love, but I've always been thinking about having a small bakery/café. I am also a food blogger, so in a free time I bake a lot and it's my biggest passion. That's why I was thinking if there is any legal way how to sell bread, pastry or cakes every once in a while on a market or so? I'm only 21 years old so I don't really have money to make it a business, but I'm curious if there's any possibility to do this.

Thank you for any help!

Almost impossible. You'll need a food handling license anyway and it'll be very difficult to find any space at markets. Maybe some commercial events and exhibitions, but you'll still need a food handling license.

The only way round it would be if you know a friendly baker who will maybe make some of your stuff, you become an "agent" for them and use their license. But they would have to be very friendly for them to allow that.

Thanks for a quick response! I thought so, I was just thinking if there isn't any way (or an event for amateur foodies) as there is with selling stuff on flea markets where you don't really need anything but a reserved space.
However, I know it is different with food of course.

Thank you anyways and have a nice day!

there's a lot of people selling homemade food on stalls or privately, especially in the valleys, this doesn't happen in markets though where I'm sure there are checks. And being it illegal if someone gets hurt (even if it's not directly your fault) you risk.

Adding to grumpygrapefruit's idea, if you find a licensed kitchen (restaurant, b&b, hotel, etc) who is willing to rent their kitchen space for a set amount of time - when they are closed for example, so you don't step on each other's toes - then you might be in business. It works in the States, and getting the food handling license that way was easy peasy. Of course, what works in one place might not work in another, and all that...

You are welcome to come bake at my house. not licensed though
