Very cool. Thanks. I've always wanted a tool like this to track my travels. I'd like to get my kids on this. Is the user content area moderated, and do you have a kids' safe policy?

A thread on local online start-ups would also be of great interest to me. I'm particularly interested in any VC and incubation project scenes. Surely, there are some VCs around, no?

Please feel free to start a thread, and I would gladly contribute with the little I know about that scene here in Switzerland.

Re: kids policy - Technically speaking the Terms of Service stipulate that you must be over 18 to use the site (or have permission from a parent of guardian) - primarily because the law regarding the use of websites by minors is fearsomely complicated. So thats one reason why we haven't gone for a kids safe mode.

However, we do moderate the content to ensure that there is nothing untoward posted (and also to avoid any of the other legal pitfalls that surround websites that host images)..

Thanks for the images / feedback. Looks a little like you don't have cleartype / font smoothing enabled. We'll look at that - although I'm guessing that scenarios like that could be rare.

(Secret: our biggest problem is old versions of the flash-plugin being installed which makes our image loader behave badly. - for this reason we are currently doing some surgery there).
