hahaha! i'm an etsy seller... but in lausanne.

there's not many in switzerland.

etsy is a wonderful website that allows people who make really interesting, handmade items (jewelry, clothing, and almost anything else) sell their items around the world.

i really love etsy, even more since i've been here in switzerland because you can find some great, one of a kind things that no-one else will have, and you can support artists and crafters who are trying to get buy.

in that case i will never be an etsy seller. the last things i made were a tray ( woodwork , school 1968) that doubled up as a sledge and a chisel that wouldnt chisel , made a darn good prod though. ( metalwork, 1968 , school )
made spectrum spud once and gave lots of poeple food poisoning. at least that one had (briefly) more than one admirer.

well i'll be honest- i don't sell much on etsy but it works really well to guide people to see my work then contact me if they want- if you want to really make a profit- you need to really network on etsy- like any forum- it takes alot of time and attention. having my jewelry in galleries and shops, it works for me as a showcase, although lately i must say i am quite lazy about it!
i'm gonna check your shop out now and keep in touch- we can promote each other-

another good way is to buy from etsy sellers, i find people really appreciate the purchase and are quick to return the favor! take care and good luck!!!

I've glanced at your shops but it seems like you guys are mainly into jewelry. Do any of you knit? We want to buy some winter hats and/or scarves for the Praktikantins in our kids' Chrippe for Christmas. Would be good to support someone from here.

I love Etsy and have purchased a lot of items from the site, I'd love to start my own shop but don't have a lot of spare time, and therefore lack motivation, to get something up and running.

I am an ex-etsy seller. ever did sell only 1 item
problem is now there are just way too many sellers, so the sales are too low, though its good as a side hobby..
for buying, yes, its pretty good to get some unique stuff..
