Investment and Raising Capital

I have a small fledgling business which is showing great potential but there is a need to generate capital either through a longer term bank loan or by someone investing into the business. There is a detailed business plan and I have considerable experience in running this kind of organisation without actually being the primary owner.

The amounts that we are talking about are relatively small in the grand scheme of things. Does anyone have any suggestion of companies that are interested in smaller (below 100k) investments or are there any particular banks that are more approachable than ZKB.

Most of my assets are already in the business and couldn't raise additional capital in that manner unless of course you want to be my friend

Capital that is being raise is for assets not operational or running costs but banks as a matter of course don't look at a short term assets as a guarantee of payment.

well, i'm interested in investments, but small businesses are notoriously hard to invest in. i'm already meeting economisto this sunday, so if you also want to meet up, i'm happy to listen and advise.

I set up an entrepreneur meet: Phil's Entrepreneurs Ensemble

happy to talk to you there if you can make it. i'm a qualified chartered accountant and have also run my own business (and pitched to a dragon) so can probably offer some different viewpoints on your proposal.

Do you mean Zuger-KB or Zürcher-KB? I am told that ZH-KB is more entrepreneur friendly than other Banks.

Re: Investment and Raising Capital

The SEO on your Volusion setup is not correct.
Just to mention two very basic things that are wrong:
title
urls

example:
http://www.workingwithwine.ch/product-p/cal04alln.htm

Not offering you money but if you could do proper SEO, it may be worth more than any capital thrown at you.

Wish you the best.

The website is not the focus of the raising of the capital but I accept that there is a need for some SEO work on the site. Could you elaborate what you meant with regard to the to titles please (the URL I know about).

Thanks

Of course:

The title meta tag on the example wine is:
<title>Vintage and Vine </title>

Its the same title as for example your brandy:
http://www.workingwithwine.ch/product-p/polijac.htm
<title>Vintage and Vine </title>

Each product should have its own distinctive title. It makes a ton of a difference in Google SERPS.

Cheers

Zuger !!! They'll lend me the money if I have 100k in the bank!!! which kind of defeats the object!

Its called a back-to-back loan. Zero risk for the bank. Its only possible purpose is the tax benefit from the interests, but being such a small loan, the admin expenses eclipse the potential tax shield.

Please explain the tax benefit. I have difficulty understanding how that works.

Re: Investment and Raising Capital

It really depends on how taxes work in the country. Meaning, it depends if private interest income is taxed or not. It also depends where the backing funds are, if these are offshore or not.
