My colleagues and I are developing a website which uses premium sms to manipulate details. It is a virtual cemetery called swisscemetery.com and is almost ready to go live. We have been using a company called truesenses to make tests in switzerland and they have been very reasonable with their costs during this development period. Now we need to make this more international with countries like USA, german and english orientated european countries, philippines (for a start). We can find a lot of people providing some or most of these requirements, but the cost is astronomic. Has any member of the forum found a relatively cheap way of implementing an international premium sms (say 2-3 chf for the caller). I was wondering if there is a service sharing possibility until we know if the site will be used. It is still a bit of a hobby and we are donating a lot of our profit (if we get any) to the Knights of Rizal charity. Any interest or info would be appreciated

We have found http://www.zong.com/front/ - and decided to use this for switzerland, UK and germany. They will take aroung 40 percent of the cost of the sms as their commisssion. Probably will use another provider for US and far east (Our main target market)
It is quite easy and reasonably inexpensive to set up (the only large cost is to set a help number in each country - or you can pay Zong to do this for you, which in my eyes is very expensive - Zong say that this is a "mandatory" requirement, but I am a little suspicious about this).
I will keep you posted once our website goes live and I have a chance to properly evaluate the Zong concepts and realities of the "percentage".
I looked at lots of other providers before I chose Zong, so I recommend anyone else looking for a similar service to start their search here and maybe save yourself some time.
