Right, for those of you who've been whining that its usually a last minute post by Chosenjade, she has given ample notification this time round.
I was there last Sat and Mrs Teoh mentioned that she will be cooking chicken rice and thought I'll give this a bump. Her chicken rice very decent and authentic, plus her roast pork is very yummy. Worth the trip and very reasonable too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hainanese_chicken_rice
She only cooks a certain amount so book early to avoid disappointment | | This user would like to thank summerrain for this useful post: | |

I can't flipping believe it, I'm going to miss another opportunity to feast on Chicken Rice at TEOH .
Unfortunately I'm taking foreign guests to the mountains.
I will eagerly await the next time this comes round.

was a great evening. thanks prof. t.
the first time i've been to the restaurant. food was good but my main criticisms were:
- extremely poor service. if you can't remember an order, write it down! even drinks for 3 people took 5 attempts (tsingtao, green tea, white wine).
- food was good, but portion sizes were small. so much so that after scarfing part of a fellow diner's dinner, i ordered a 2nd main course - which after one reminder, was still forgotten half an hour later. i gave up and went to mcdonalds for a mcflurry.
no idea why this was so chaotic. with 3 people serving and a handful of tables, it should have been a walk in the park.
would go again for the food, but next time, i will order double up-front and also give more regular reminders of the orders.

The rest of the staff are part of the family but I have no idea who she was. She was terrible, forgetting orders and EXTREMELY slow. Wound me up to no end and I plan to have a quiet word with Mrs Teoh the next time that I am there. Take my word for it, that they arent usually like that.
Portion size was fine for my party but we did order another dish of capi tam curry to supplement. The roast pork went down so well that we ordered another portion. Burp. Needless to say, we rolled out of there after.
Hope everyone enjoyed the food nonetheless (and sorry that I didnt get a chance to chat except taking a few jibes about my recent self deletion saga)! Next time!

I agree with you. The size of the restaurant, it can easily be handled by 2 person. | Quote: | | | | | Agreed - was extremely frustrated with the service especially the girl with the long hair. Next time! | | | | | well, SR, we will have to go with you next time, may be speaking the lingo will help! I am not sure whether they will Mandarin or not..
It was good food and great company especially when 3 extra just turned up half way through our meal and "squeezed" in.. I think we cleaned out their home made chilli sauces as they not bring us more after we asked for 2nd refill!
Phil has sum up quite nicely and another thing is that for us who have booked and they know that we are all coming in together (even under different names) and we know each other. They should really put us together or close by. Lucky that we are early, so we able to sit together.
As I was one of the last to leave, the owner did say to me that if we want anything special for a party of 6 or over at the weekend (Fri or Sat); we can book on Monday, then they will do it for. That is a thought..
Definitely will be back for the food!

If you can get a group together, you should ask them to make their prawn noodles soup. DELISH! Or laksa. perfect for the weather at the moment! nom nom nom...
You can also give feedback that the portions are too small - poor Phil. |
