that sounds like a great event- too bad we are so far and if we didn't just get back from zurich yesterday night, i'd have much better luck talking the oh into going for this!
i have been to rainsong in c.r- i have family very nearby, it's a cool place and they do some great work- good for you to give back to them, they are very hardworking people who really give their everything to the animals they help.
best of luck with your event! |

Hello Waybia, this sounds like a fun and very interesting way to raise money for charity. I'll have a word with my hubby tonight when he gets home. | | This user would like to thank Oldhand for this useful post: | |

Wow, its wonderful to hear from you, Amaraya! And to 'meet' someone else who knows Rainsong!
My passion is to involve myself with animals. This is why I am getting my other talents together to take further steps to involve myself more with this passion.
Yes, its a pity that you cannot make it this time. Thanks a lot for your kind words.

I'd love to go to this, but I'm not sure it's going to happen. We would get back to NE a bit late. Will have to see.

What kind of set-up is it, please? All hands-on or do we watch you cook? Will there be work stations for participants?

Actually, just kidding, it was the whole thing. Anyway, turns out after talking to the husband we have something else that night. But he wasn't against driving all the way there. So that's a good thing, if you do another one! |

hi everyone,
Thanks for all your replies and RSVPs!
This is the very first time that I am organizing this in Zurich, so your questions are helping me learn too.
@gourmet: How did your curry turn out?!
If I have >10 participants, I plan to have it in Zurich, otherwise in my home in Rueschlikon. We will start at 16:00, dinner starts at 19:00.
@argus: Thanks for your encouraging response!
There will be no participation stations, as I will be mostly doing it at home. There is a chance to 'try out' the methods with me in the kitchen. Based on the response, if I do get to afford a professional place in Zurich, I can provide different work stations. I need to know the final numbers by Tuesday 10th January, so that I can purchase what is necessary and keep things ready!
@miniMia: no problem, I shall do a repeat of the game the next time you can make it! And your hubby can join in the eating bit.

This sounds great waybia! Wish I could make it but we've got something on that weekend. I would surely be in for round two though!

| | | Re: Culinary Tryst with India EVENT FULL
Dear all,
Please note that I already have a 'full plate' as far as my guests to next Saturday's event goes! This is because the event was also posted to my friends in other sources; the ones who had encouraged me to plan this out in the first place.
I have been positively encouraged by your kind responses, to both, Indian cuisine and my cause to the sanctuary. Thank you very much for the same.
You will hear a 2nd event from me before Easter, when I shall try to procure a professional kitchen and get more of you involved.
Till then, A big THANK YOU to all of you!
