1st Swiss rtfMRI Neurofeedback Conference

OK it's pretty geeky but I'm going to go to this Real Time Functional MRI Neurofeedback Conference at ETH. Thought I'd see if any one else is interested

Re: 1st Swiss rtfMRI Neurofeedback Conference

I won't be going, but rtfMRI stuff is fascinating. When I was postdocing in Fribourg, there were regular invited neuroscience presentations, many of which used fMRI. I particularly remember a talk on foreign language acquistion in multi-lingual children. There was a another talk on neural pathway plasticity, where a stroke patient was to all intents and purpose blind. However, he could tell if someone was smiling or not, because the relevant alternative pathway relating to emotional recognition had been activated after the normal optic pathway had been damaged. Or something like that, it's all a bit sketchy now.

Re: 1st Swiss rtfMRI Neurofeedback Conference

I was wondering if you sent to the nuerofeedback conference you posted in English forum?

Do you know how often they run, when the next one is scheduled or how I find out?

Thanks,

I was there a couple of weeks ago. As far as I know this was a one-off but seemed quite successful and well-attended. So perhaps another one will be organized for next year.
