Special events at the Zurich Expat-Expo

Prize drawings:
- The British-Swiss Chamber of Commerce will have a free drawing for an Apple i-pod touch.
- Zurich Comedy Club will offer the chance to win 2 free tickets to the premiere of 'Heroes' on 11th
November (details at www.zcc.ch).
- Collins Hofmann Photographics is offering a free photoshoot (worth Fr. 250) in their prize draw.
- Swissinfo will offer a special swissinfo-gift to every 50th visitor.
- Early Learning Center will have a drawing for a free triple session at our playgroup. (3 available)
- Elmedia will have a free drawing for a new membership at elmedia video worth 100.-.

Food and drink tastings:
- A snack-bar is on site selling all your favorite drinks and sandwiches.
- South African wine degustation from Delkap wines.
- Assorted artisanal cheeses from The Cheese Club.
- Micro-brewery Spiffing Ales will be pouring samples of their hand-crafted beers.
- Time for Tea will offer samples of lemon curd, marmalade and jam on mini toasts and biscuits and fudge
as long as stocks last!

Other events:
- US citizens can register to vote and request an absentee ballot with American Democrats Abroad.
- Création Mikula Coiffure will be doing live hair styling.
- Get your motor runnin'... Harley Davidson of Zürich will have a "Fat Boy" and an XR1200 on display.
- Dr. Cynthia invites you to experience the anti-aging effect of the IceMask. It’s a facial mask that provides
hydration and cooling to the skin. It can be applied over makeup. We sell the product at the office and the
fair.

I can (and will) personally recommend the products of both these suppliers, especially when consumed at the same time.

Got to say that was a very enjoyable event - met some great people and swapped some cool ideas. Thanks everyone for the kind comments and interest in what we were doing on our little stand.

I found it curious there weren't more established companies there (maybe I don't understand the point of the Expo) but it seems there's a great opportunity to do some direct marketing to core demographics. If you have a business, I reckon you should sign up for the next one.

I have to say as an exhibitor, it was a very well run expo and we were kept busy from the first minute to the last. I didn't expect to sell a lot of cheese on the day, but we sold out of nearly all of our cheeses and got some great enquiries for catering and events.

Hope to see some new faces at the Geneva expo on October 12th.
